I didn’t set out to make a video comparing Australia and New Zealand. It just… kept happening. Since moving to the US, there’s a moment that repeats itself with almost comic reliability. Someone hears my accent, smiles politely, and says something like: “Oh! You’re a Kiwi!” And look — it’s never meant badly. Quite the opposite, actually. New Zealand has a great reputation here.
